The price you see on team gear reflects the cost of producing a full team batch in one run — the setup, printing, and shipping are spread across the whole order. Single-piece reorders ("we need one more shirt for Johnny") are a different job: we still have to do the full setup and shipping for just one item, so the per-piece economics work out very differently.
